Lusty pigeons on the roof

Seems spring has sprung and all the garden birds are chasing each other around the skies, hoping for some hanky pinky I expect. Here's a mini love story going on on next door's roof! Look at me! My wings are fab aren't they? whooooo - Just look what I can do! Let's go then... off into sunset to make some pigeonlettes. Ok, but I'm keeping my eye on you!

Impossible birds

Each month I enter the Female Nature Photographers chance for an appearance in the online Wild Planet Photo Magazine. Here are my entries for this month. I've been thinking about the beauty of birds feathers and how impossible they seem - how can a creature develop such incredible and strange colours?

The bundle of bouncy spaniel puppy

This gorgeous little bundle of energy came to visit to day! Between bouncing around like a banana in a blender, these photos show the few seconds she actually was still enough to have her portrait taken. She's such a young puppy and so bouncy that each time I managed to lock on and actually focus on her eyes, she'd be somewhere else by the time I clicked the shutter - that nose busying anywhere and everywhere followed by her lovely big lollopy paws and then the rest of her, by which time her nose had logged on to some new smell somewhere else - quite impossible to photograph - but worth it in the end! I think you'll agree that she is absolutey gorgeous!!!
